The Australian: Super kids with a thirst for Knowledge Lionel Cranenburgh coordinated a community-based program with parents providing most of the expertise for Perth’s Superkids. They are some of the first children in Australia to be selected for a unique program specially designed for talented children of pre-school age. (Based on a program that was the foundation for helping WA to lead Australia in Gifted and Talented programs).
Lionel is innovative, enthusiastic and has an innate sense of public relations. If he says he will do something he always does it. I believe that it is largely due to his tenacity that schools with which he has been associated have attained a larger public profile. Dale Walsh, former Group Editor of the Community Newspaper Group.
The Miner, Ontario, Canada. Wonder from Down-Under. Australia’s Lionel Cranenburgh has made education part of his life. And he is doing his best to make the world his classroom. His team jet-set across the world to try and determine how to improve education, career and business development. Lionel’s career counselling service has become one of the most successful in Western Australia. Educationally, he is impressed with the amount of influence parents have on curriculum and running of the schools that their children attend in Canada. But he says educators and parents would benefit from working closer together. An interest in education and business is not enough to keep Lionel in one place. He has accepted an invitation to speak to the business faculty of Durham University in England and from there it's off to India to address educators. The wonder of it is that Lionel can keep up this cracking pace. Listening to him I couldn’t help but be amazed at this wonder from the land of down-under.
